KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Job Summary Under the general direction of the Executive Housekeeper or his/her Delegate, and within the limits of established IHG and local Hotel policies and procedures, responsible to keep guest rooms and adjacent areas in a clean and well maintained condition to ensure maximum convenience and comfort to the guests. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Cleans and maintains guests rooms, guests corridors, linen rooms and cupboards according to set standards and procedures. • Replenishes guests in-room supplies. • Reports damage or malfunction in rooms to Rooms Supervisor. • Maintains equipment in a proper state of cleanliness and repair. • Maintains a daily room checklist. • Meets with superior and takes on daily assigned tasks. • Reports and submits lost and found articles to superior immediately. • Reports guest complaints to superior immediately. • Reports unusual behavior or activities on floors to supervisor. • Records room status in allocated section accurately. • Attends meetings and training sessions as required. • Reports for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name badge at all times. • Collects the section key against signature and room report from the housekeeping office and return them at the end of the shift. • Attends the morning briefing at the beginning of the shift. • Attends to the guest s requests and queries courteously and promptly in the course of duty. • Does special general cleaning in guest rooms as per housekeeping schedule and occupancy level. • Cleans and stores all the equipment in its proper place and keeps pantries well arranged. • Re-stocks the trolley and pantries for the next day. • Is present and active in the training sessions provided by the Hotel. • Understands and adheres to all fire and safety procedures. • Cleans assigned areas thoroughly, making the necessary arrangement, replenish linen and guest supplies. • Keeps all housekeeping areas clean and tidy. • Participates in the multi-skilling philosophy of the department. • Fills out the Housekeeping Attendant s reports correctly, showing the room status and time cleaned. • Keeps daily accurate records of discarded linen. • Controls daily amount of collected and received linen. • Controls daily amount of collected and received linen for and from the laundry. • Does not allow anyone to enter in guest rooms except with the approval of the supervisors. • I aware of cost savings according initiated by the department. • Is aware of costs savings regarding linen misuse, discarded linen. • Carries out any duties that supervisors may assign. • Demonstrates understanding and awareness of all policies and procedures relation to Health, Hygiene and Fire Life Safety. • Performs related duties and other projects as assigned.
