Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Implement corporate HSE policy, HSE plans, and applicable HSE legislation across project sites
- Monitor HSE performance, targets, and KPIs, and recommend continuous improvement measures
- Ensure full compliance with client safety requirements and contractual obligations
- Coordinate with safety managers and contractors to improve and implement HSE management practices
- Monitor contractor activities to ensure legal, client, and regulatory safety compliance on site
- Review site safety plans, emergency response plans, method statements, and risk assessments
- Conduct regular HSE inspections and report non-compliances for immediate corrective action
- Review and monitor contractors monthly HSE inspection reports and statistics
- Lead monthly safety meetings, set corrective targets, and issue meeting minutes for follow-up
- Review permit-to-work systems, toolbox talks, emergency preparedness, and safety records
- Review incident and accident investigation reports, communicate lessons learned, and track corrective actions to prevent recurrence
Skills Set
- Recognized health and safety certifications such as NEBOSH, safety diploma, or ISO 45001 Lead Auditor
- Solid knowledge of UAE Federal Laws, Dubai Municipality construction safety codes, and technical guidelines
- Strong communication, reporting, and coordination skills
- Ability to conduct audits, inspections, and safety meetings independently
- Professional approach to incident investigation and risk mitigation

- Bachelor s degree in a construction-related engineering discipline
- Minimum 12 years of experience as a Safety Engineer on infrastructure projects in the UAE
- Strong background in contractor safety supervision and authority compliance
