Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Implement corporate HSE policy, HSE plans, and applicable HSE legislation across project sites
Monitor HSE performance and targets and recommend continuous improvement measures
Ensure full compliance with client safety requirements and contractual obligations
Coordinate with safety managers and contractors to improve and implement corporate HSE management practices
Monitor contractors to ensure compliance with legal, authority, and client safety requirements
Review site safety plans, emergency response plans, method statements, and risk assessments
Carry out regular HSE inspections and report non-compliances for immediate corrective action
Review and monitor contractors monthly HSE inspection reports and statistics
Conduct monthly safety meetings, set corrective targets, and issue minutes for follow-up
Review permit-to-work systems, toolbox talks, emergency preparedness, and HSE records
Review incident and accident investigation reports, communicate lessons learned, and monitor corrective actions to prevent recurrence
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor s degree in occupational safety and health or a construction-related engineering discipline
Minimum 8 years of experience as a Safety Engineer on highway, bridge, or underpass projects in the UAE
Strong exposure to authority-driven infrastructure projects and contractor-led site operations
NEBOSH IGC or equivalent internationally recognized safety certification
Safety Diploma, First Aid, and Fire Safety certifications
Working knowledge of UAE Federal Laws, Dubai Municipality Code of Construction Safety Practice, RTA Circulars, and Work Zone Traffic Management Manual
ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 audit qualification or training is an advantage
Strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder coordination skills
Ability to attend physical interviews within the UAE
