Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of healthcare facilities, identifying hazards and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards, to mitigate risks and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs, policies, and procedures tailored to the unique challenges of a healthcare setting, including infection control, hazardous materials management, and emergency preparedness.
  • Manage and maintain safety data, records, and reports, including incident reports, inspection findings, and training records, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide safety training and education to healthcare staff on topics such as infection control, fire safety, hazard communication, and workplace violence prevention, fostering a culture of safety awareness.
  • Stay informed about changes in safety regulations and best practices, adapting safety programs and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs, making recommendations for improvements and implementing changes to enhance safety performance and reduce risks.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses any Bachelor's degree or Bachelor's in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field, providing a strong foundation in safety principles and practices.
  • Has a minimum of 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting, with a proven track record of implementing and managing safety programs.
  • NEBOSH.
