Job Description

University degree in chemistry or chemical engineering, with min. 5 - 7 years of experience in sales, in Care Chemicals (Personal and Home Care), preferably with a chemical distributor.

Effective skills in oral and written communications in English.

Practical knowledge of marketing plans and strategies.

Principles of sales, negotiation, and promotion.

Results and people oriented.

Ability to analyze, interpret and use data in decision-making.

Ability to get along with diverse personalities, tactful, mature, and flexible.

Good reasoning, sound judgment and problem-solving abilities.



Requirements

1. Administer strategy (sales, marketing, pricing), budgets, forecasts and financial objectives in agreement with the Head of Business Unit.

2. Follow the instructions of the Head of Business Unit regarding the sales strategy and approach, deployment of the product portfolio and development of white spaces and opportunities.

3. Monitor customers needs, competitor activity, and product development.

4. Keep track of sales figures and trends with the aim of achieving the budget and the set targets.

5. Keep track of customer receivables and ensure payment on time.

6. Visit accounts monthly.

7. Offer technical support to the customer if possible.

8. Prospect continually for potential customers.

9. Introduction of new products.

10. Undertake market updates/studies and keep updated client profiles.

11. Monitor and manage continually the needs, availability, and proper level of stocks of materials.

12. Liaise with the suppliers on technical and purchasing matters with the aim of boosting sales and preparing reports for the supplier as requested.

13. Present new ideas / identify new business opportunities and prepare, if accepted by top management, the respective marketing plans, and budgets.

14. Supervise product specifications and quality as expected by the customers and give feedback to the Head of Business Unit.

15. Prepare comprehensive sales / development reports for all interactions with customers and suppliers. Prepare other reports as and when needed
