The InterContinental Hotels Group properties in Dubai Festival City consist of four hotel brands. These include the luxury brand InterContinental, the superior upscale Crowne Plaza, the lavish long-stay InterContinental Residence Suites and the vibrant mid-scale Holiday Inn. In addition to over 1000 bedrooms, the four properties boast a selection of high quality restaurants and bars, an impressive 3,800 square meter Event Centre across two levels, the 5,000 square meters Festival Arena by InterContinental, the luxurious Spa InterContinental, state-of-the-art gymnasium and swimming pool facilities.

Your day to day
The role s primary responsibility is to provide coordination and administrative services for the hotels Sales & Marketing Team to assist with revenue generation within InterContinental Hotels Group Dubai Festival City properties. To actively support the Directors of Sales and the Area Director of Sales & Marketing within the administration and diary management, coordination of weekly and monthly departmental Meetings, promotes the desired work culture around the five core values of trust, integrity, one team and services of the InterContinental Hotels Group and the brands ethos.
Accountability for own performance and work to the required standards
Responds quickly to requests for help
Understands the importance of their own role in creating the guest experience
Looks for opportunities to develop own skills
Supports required changes
Prepare all administration documents required by the Hotel sales, marketing & revenue team
Attend to telephone, fax, email enquiries in a timely manner
Co-ordinate all fam s and site inspections as required
Attend sales meetings as required
Attend to all sales department mail and maintain a correspondence data base
Assist with direct mail / EDM campaigns
Maintain filing systems (manual and electronic)
Maintenance and management of data base
Assist with promotions and fam s where requested
Organize Trade shows, functions and exhibitions where applicable and advised by Superiors
Assist with compilation of annual budgets, business plan and regular action plans
Assist with tender submissions
Stock control of collateral and tracker
Maintain stock of printed material
Co-ordinate and maintain supply of corporate gifts and promotional items
Assist with the planning and development of promotional strategies and marketing plans for the hotel
Distributes sales leads
Work in line with business needs
Responsible of sending Meeting Planner Survey
Communicating Daily Event Listings
Responsible of issuing and tracking voucher
Responsible on Payroll
Assisting Director of Sales, Director of Marketing and Director of Convention & Events
What we need from you
Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for:
• Good communication and administrative skills
• Ability to be self-motivated, organized and demonstrate good team work
• Fluency in English
• Computer literacy (Microsoft applications)
• Opera, Delphi
• Pro-active approach, and the ability to meet deadlines
• Minimum of 1 year experience in the service industry or Sales & Marketing environment
