Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The Sales Engineer is responsible for driving sales of the company’s electrical products, equipment, and solutions. The role focuses on managing key accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and principals. Acting as a bridge between clients, principals, and internal teams, the Sales Engineer provides technical support, commercial guidance, and oversight of order processing and delivery. The position requires in-depth product knowledge, market awareness, and strategic client management to achieve sales targets and support sustainable business growth.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Drive sales of electrical products, equipment, and solutions to new and existing clients

  • Achieve individual sales targets and support overall business growth

  • Conduct client meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations

  • Understand client requirements and provide tailored technical and commercial solutions

  • Provide technical guidance on product selection, specifications, and applications

  • Support order processing, purchase orders, invoicing, and delivery coordination

  • Collaborate with logistics, procurement, and finance to ensure timely and compliant product delivery

  • Maintain excellent relationship with key stake holders like procurement team and end users, that would help in generating enquiries as well as in converting orders.

  • Prepare principal actions plans for short term and long term and ensure that the actions are completed in timely manner.

  • Collect market intelligence on competitor products, pricing and market activities.

  • Demonstrate commitment to the company’s culture and consistently uphold high ethical standards in all business dealings.

  • Maintain commercial and technical engagement with clients

  • Provide timely sales forecasts, market insights, and reports to management

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities

  • Develop strategies to achieve sales targets and provide feedback to principals

  • Mentor and support junior sales engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices

  • Support on-site activities, including installation, troubleshooting, and technical assistance (onshore/offshore)
