Roles & Responsibilities

ROLE SUMMARY

Responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing strong client relationships, and securing construction and contracting projects. The role involves prospecting, tender participation, proposal preparation, negotiation, and coordination with internal departments to ensure successful project acquisition and smooth handover to operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•Identify and pursue new business opportunities in civil, fit-out, MEP, or general contracting projects.

•Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads through market research, networking, cold calling, and industry events.

•Build relationships with consultants, developers, architects, project managers, and procurement teams.

•Monitor project announcements, government tenders, and private sector opportunities.

•Establish, develop, and maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients.

•Conduct regular client visits and meetings to understand upcoming project requirements.

•Serve as the main point of contact for client inquiries and commercial discussions.

•Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and repeat business.

•Review tender documents, drawings, and BOQs in coordination with estimation and technical teams.

•Coordinate preparation and submission of technical and commercial proposals.

•Ensure accurate costing, pricing strategies, and profitability analysis.

•Follow up on submitted tenders and negotiate terms to secure contract awards.

•Lead commercial negotiations with clients.

•Discuss payment terms, project timelines, scope clarifications, and contractual conditions.

•Work closely with management for pricing approvals and contract review.

•Ensure signed agreements are properly documented and communicated to operations teams.

•Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

•Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline status, and forecast reports.

•Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports for management review.

•Analyze performance metrics and adjust strategies accordingly.

•Track competitor activities, pricing trends, and market movements.

•Provide insights and recommendations to management on pricing strategies and new opportunities.

•Identify emerging sectors and growth areas within the construction market.

SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES

Strong negotiation and closing skills

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Ability to read and understand technical drawings and BOQs

Commercial awareness and profitability focus

HEALTH AND SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with the Quality, Health, Safety and Environment management system

  • To report any workplace failures/problems to the responsible Safety Person.

  • To pass on any maintenance requests to the Safety Personnel

  • To participate in any Health & Safety schemes as recommended by senior management

  • To comply with any reasonable health and safety request made by management to the best of your ability

WORKING RELATIONSHIP

•Internal (Operation, Environment, Framework & Boundaries, etc.)

•Regular contact with the Sales Director

•Regular contact with the Managing Director

•External (Other organizations, Principle Staff, Government & Vendors)

•Clients, Consultants, Main Contractors, Government Entities

Desired Candidate Profile

Education: Bachelors in Business Management, engineering or related studies

Specific Qualification: Strong Business Development skills, tender and costing

Experience: 5-10 years in related field

Preference: UAE Driving License
