A person who represents the organization while ensuring the sale of its products in the market. He is responsible for retaining the existing customer and onboarding new clients. Normally falls in the forefront of the Sales pyramid.
1. Handling RFQ [Request for Quotation]
a) Pricing
b) Material Availability
c) Analyzing Delivery Time
d) Customer’s Feedback (Creditworthiness / Payable Heath)
2. Quotation Preparation
3. Follow up for orders
4. PO receiving
5. PO verification & submission to sales coordinator for SO
6. Gathering regular feedback for order deliveries from the Production team.
7. Tactically handling client on order updates
8. Cross Selling & gathering customer references.
9. Reporting – Preparing the periodical and other reports as suggested by the manager/the management.
10. Payment Collection & ensuring deliveries to the customers on time.

Roles & Responsibility:

The Salesperson is responsible for getting business, the payment schedule and the delivery timeline. The incentive structure is aligned to a defined achievement of all the three factors.


Sales Target has been defined for each level and the nature of the customer. One has to work to achieve targets.
