We are looking for a SALES MANAGER - EVENTS
To achieve cumulative budget objectives in sales at Meli Desert Palm Dubai in the following segments: MICE, Leisure Groups, Corporate Groups, Tour Series and optimize sales of the hotel s meeting space. To manage and report on a daily basis on the sales process, by ensuring the calls are taken and information gathered in efficient and professional manner, quotations are made to clients within a few hours and followed by a detailed proposal within 24 hours of the enquiry, as per the Melia Hotels International standards. Ensure the chasing is done accurately and efficiently, all information is recorded in Activity page, communication is done in writing with customers on all important matters regarding quotations, proposal, confirmations and / or release of the booking. To ensure Groups and Events are up to speed with inputting, handover with Operational Team and closing of PMs.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Sales Manager - Events serve the needs of the business, our guests and our colleagues by driving sales activities for the hotel, achieving revenue, profit targets and developing a loyal customer base, on behalf of the hotel.
To implement all sales activities and maximize business opportunities across Leisure, Corporate, and MICE segment with responsibility in meeting and exceeding revenue objectives for occupancy and ADR.
To generate and maintain customers of defined accounts through sales activities (face to face sales calls, telephone calls, entertainment and site inspections).
Drive Market Share and Sales Performance through proper pricing and segment mix management.
Ensure effective pricing is in place to reflect asset strength relative to the competitive set.
Closely monitor competitive pricing and understand the impact of relative pricing decisions on property performance.
To maintain an up to date account, contact database and details.
Check customer satisfaction and resolve any issues at the time of a service failure to ensure repeat business.
Conducts site inspections with prospective and existing clients as per the Sales and Marketing SOP s.
Attend trade fairs and shows on behalf of Melia Desert Palm Dubai to find new sources of business.
Ensure the achievement of sales objectives on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
Exceed personal sales goals, monthly, quarterly, annually, through account development and maintenance, regular sales calls, entertainment and tradeshows.
Develop and implement sales strategies, tactics and action plans for assigned account base.
Maintain and update current account information for credit facilities, contracts and promotions
To work closely with Events and Catering Team on set accounts and adhere to SOP on BEO, proposal and contract issuance.
To act as a main point of contact with rooms related groups.
To follow up with the events team post meeting/event with thank you letters.
