Key tasks
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Work under the guidance & supervision of ADOSM
2. Manage Daily , weekly sales organization with 5 Sales calls /Offers or average of 20 Sales Calls/Offer weekly
3. Handling the segments and accounts file load assigned file and contracting new ones.
4. Generating business to Meeting Rooms for the hotel
5. Develop and implement sales methods and approaches to maintain customer contact with active and new accounts
6. Maximize sales efficiency with strong presence in the market and actively participate on activities to intensify brand Mercure awareness
7. Achieve sales goals as set forth by the hotel and Sales & marketing Budget.
8. Establish and manage sales systems to enable leads to be proactively sourced and reacted to in a timely manner.
9. Ensure that all accounts are properly updated in Opera. Maintain up-to-date activity and rate information for each account. Action any group and event enquiry and ensure accurate hand over for follow up to Inspired Meeting team
10.To ensure that all sales contracts follow the established Hotel Policies and Procedures
11. Develop productive working relationships and ongoing communication with the hotel team members/ Departments
12. Provide a maximum of 24 hours response to all accounts for business and to ensure proper and presentable communication.
13. Carry out tasks and special assignments delegated to Director of Sales & Marketing
14. Regular follow up on hotel requirements with regards to special promotions & actions
15. Contribute and participate in the Budget planning to set the business mix, the sales priorities, and provide the technical sales support
16. Responsible for producing & presenting the following reports to Director of Sales & Marketing Manager
* Weekly Sales call plan
* Weekly Sales call report
* Monthly Sales call report
* Account visit Tracking report
17. To insure of updating ASA system after completing the training on the same
18. Attend hotel events & functions
19. Attend hotel orientation tours
20. Negotiate rate agreements with customers as required within job role in coordination with direct supervisor.
21. Assist the Director Sales & Marketing Manager in his/her duties
22. Carry out tasks and special assignments delegated to him/her on behalf of his/her segment i.e. area competition survey, area SWOT analysis etc.
