Roles & Responsibilities
Position Summary:
The Sales/Service Engineer will be responsible for providing expert instrumentation engineering support while actively driving business growth through sales initiatives and tender participation. This dual-role position requires technical proficiency in instrumentation systems, strong client engagement skills, and the ability to manage the end-to-end tender process, from opportunity identification to submission.
Key Responsibilities:
A. Technical & Engineering Duties
- Design, configure, and implement instrumentation and control systems for industrial applications.
- Perform installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of instrumentation equipment.
- Provide technical support to internal teams and clients during project execution and after-sales phases.
- Prepare technical documentation, specifications, and reports for projects and proposals.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
B. Sales & Business Development Duties
- Actively seek and identify new sales opportunities through market research, client visits, and networking.
- Maintain and develop relationships with existing clients to identify further sales opportunities and cross-selling possibilities.
- Prepare and deliver technical and commercial proposals, including quotations and bids.
- Conduct client presentations and demonstrations to explain technical solutions and value propositions.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with clients in coordination with the management team.
- Achieve sales targets set by the company and provide regular sales performance reports.
C. Tender & Bidding Duties
- Monitor public and private tender portals to identify relevant opportunities.
- Review tender documents, technical specifications, and commercial requirements in detail.
- Coordinate with technical, procurement, and finance teams to prepare competitive and compliant tender submissions.
- Prepare all technical and financial documentation required for tendering.
- Ensure timely submission of tenders and proposals in accordance with client deadlines.
- Follow up with clients post-submission to track tender status and provide additional clarifications when required.
- Maintain a database of past tenders, win/loss records, and lessons learned for process improvement.
Skills & Competencies:
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in instrumentation systems, calibration, and industrial applications.
- Tender Management: Skilled in reviewing tender requirements and preparing winning submissions.
- Sales Acumen: Ability to identify prospects, develop relationships, and close deals.

- Organization & Time Management: Capable of handling multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
