Roles & Responsibilities

The Scaffolding Section Head is responsible for leading, planning, coordinating, and controlling all scaffolding operations across multiple project sites to ensure safe, efficient, and timely support for construction activities. The role involves managing scaffolding teams, subcontractors, logistics coordination, safety compliance, resource planning, and operational performance while ensuring alignment with project schedules, quality standards, and HSE requirements.

Key Accountabilities

The position involves:

  • Lead and manage all scaffolding activities across project sites in line with project schedules, operational priorities, and construction requirements.
  • Supervise scaffolding engineers, supervisors, inspectors, and subcontractors to ensure efficient execution and productivity.
  • Coordinate with construction, logistics, planning, procurement, and HSE teams to ensure proper scaffolding support for all project activities.
  • Review and approve scaffolding designs, drawings, calculations, and load requirements to ensure compliance with safety and engineering standards.
  • Monitor scaffolding installation, modification, dismantling, and material utilization across all assigned projects.
  • Ensure all scaffolding works comply with project specifications, company procedures, OSHA standards, and international safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage scaffolding manpower allocation, material planning, equipment utilization, and subcontractor performance.
  • Ensure proper storage, movement, tracking, and control of scaffolding materials through effective logistics coordination.
  • Prepare and monitor scaffolding progress reports, inspection records, productivity reports, and operational KPIs.
  • Support project teams in resolving complex scaffolding, access, and site execution challenges.
  • Participate in project planning meetings and provide technical and operational input related to scaffolding requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, operational efficiency, cost control, and scaffolding performance across projects.

Desired Candidate Profile

We are Looking for: br>

  • Bachelor s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in scaffolding operations within large-scale construction projects.
  • Minimum 3 years in a leadership or section head role managing multiple project sites and teams.
  • Previous experience in large-scale residential, hospitality, mixed-use, or high-rise projects is preferred.
  • Strong experience working in Saudi Arabia.
  • Strong knowledge of scaffolding systems, engineering standards, site logistics, and construction operations.
  • Familiarity with OSHA and international scaffolding safety standards and regulations.
  • Proven experience managing scaffolding subcontractors, manpower planning, and material control.
  • Strong leadership, coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in fast-paced project environments.
  • Proficiency in reporting, planning, and scaffolding inspection documentation.
