Responsibilities

• Create and deliver interactive and stimulating scientific lesson plans and activities.

• Organize and supervise laboratory sessions, ensuring safety protocols are adhered to.
• Incorporate technology and multimedia resources to enhance learning experiences in the classroom.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to suit diverse learning needs and styles.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and exploration.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and programs that integrate science.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and activities and report to parents as necessary.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current in the field of science education.
• Encourage student participation in science fairs, competitions, and other extracurricular science-related activities.
• Engage with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns or issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Science Education, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field.
• Teaching certification or licensure as required by the state's educational authority.
• Proven experience teaching science at the middle or high school level.
• Strong understanding of educational best practices and pedagogical methods.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for a variety of audiences.
• Ability to develop engaging lesson plans and effectively manage classroom dynamics.
• Proficiency with educational technologies and digital tools utilized in the classroom.
