The Biotechnology & Biomedicine Lab Engineer / Teacher plays a vital role in supporting high-quality STEM education by overseeing laboratory operations and delivering hands-on instruction in biotechnology, molecular biology, microbiology, physiology, and biomedical sciences. The postholder ensures that all laboratory activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in alignment with school s commitment to scientific inquiry, innovation, and real-world application. The role requires strong technical expertise in biological laboratory techniques, excellent organizational and instructional skills, and the ability to collaborate with science and STEM faculty. The postholder will mentor students, support research projects, and maintain a safe and advanced biolab environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Bachelor s degree in the relevant subject (Master s preferred)
• Minimum 3 years of teaching or lab experience
• Candidates below 50 years of age
• Experience in STEM-focused or innovative learning environments is an advantage

Requirements:

• Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Biotechnology, Biomedical Science, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or related field Master s degree, lab certifications,
• Experience Experience working in biological/biomedical laboratories or teaching related subjects Experience in STEM schools, project-based learning, or research labs
• Technical Skills Proficiency in lab techniques: PCR, electrophoresis, microscopy, aseptic technique, cell culture basics Experience with advanced instruments, bioinformatics tools, or molecular diagnostic platforms
• Safety Skills Understanding of biosafety, chemical safety, and lab risk management Experience managing BSL-2 laboratories
• Teaching Skills Ability to deliver or support hands-on STEM and biology instruction Experience mentoring science fairs or research competitions
• ICT Skills Competence in lab software, data analysis tools, LMS Experience with digital lab notebooks or simulation tools
• Soft Skills Strong communication, teamwork, organization, problem-solving Leadership, mentoring, scientific communication experience
