Recruitment Criteria:

• Australian curriculum experience preferred / IB background is a good fit / UAE and Middle East experience is beneficial
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience (will consider less on case by case basis)
• Preferred registration as a professional teacher (i.e.: VIT, QTS, etc)
• Applicants must have a relevant teaching qualification. (minimum Bachelor's degree)
• Must be willing to embrace a student centred model of learning
• Must be happy to work with predominantly ESL and largely Arabic children in a setting that is distinctly multi-national and multicultural
• Must be committed for the long term and consider this as a career enhancement opportunity.

This will suit single applicants or teaching couples; it is not a cultural fit for western children. Life in Sharjah is generally calm, family-friendly, and more affordable compared to nearby Dubai. It is known as the cultural capital of the UAE, with museums, traditional souks, parks, and a strong focus on education and heritage. Many residents are expatriates, and the city has a diverse, multicultural population while still maintaining more conservative local values and rules. It is a popular choice for families and professionals who work in Dubai but prefer quieter and lower-cost living. Dubai is not far away for extravagant shopping and nighgtlife.
