Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Execute and review secondary electrical design for substation and power distribution projects (AIS & GIS).
  • Prepare and review SLDs, protection & control diagrams, interlocking schemes, and cable schedules.
  • Review BOQ, vendor offers, CRP, and automation drawings as per client requirements.
  • Perform CT/VT, battery, and cable sizing and related design calculations.
  • Develop and verify SAS signal lists, panel layouts, and wiring schematics.
  • Coordinate with primary design, site execution, and vendor teams for design clarifications and compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to standards, codes, and client specifications.
  • Participate in design review meetings and provide technical inputs.
  • Support project documentation, drawing approvals, and quality checks.
  • Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of all design deliverables.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • B.E./B. Tech in Electrical or Power Engineering (M. Tech preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in high voltage substation secondary design (11kV–500kV).
  • Exposure to multinational EPC or utility projects.
  • Experience with SAS/SCADA systems, relay coordination, and automation logic.
  • Strong understanding of protection schemes, control systems, and panel wiring.
  • Familiar with power system studies and basic civil interface.
  • Site commissioning or testing experience is an added advantage.
