Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
As a Section Manager, you will be responsible for:
Issuing daily/weekly installation plans, region/zone/trade allowable, and progress feedback to the delivery team.
Briefing and enforcing Method Statements, Risk Assessments and DSTI schedules; keeping all documentation current on the project platform.
Tracking material deliveries with Project Engineers, ensuring items reach central or site stores in time for planned works.
Distributing only approved drawings/specifications to site and escalate scope changes promptly through Change Management Control.
Maintaining accurate site records of constraints, resources, tooling and consumables, coordinating with subcontractors and vendors to secure access and deliveries.
Collecting and reporting staff-and-labour performance data, KPIs and efficiency metrics each month.
Promoting safe working practices, a zero-defect mindset and adherence to project book guidelines.
Supporting testing, commissioning, spares and warranty schedules in collaboration with engineering and QA/QC teams.
Providing regular updates to the Construction Manager on progress, risks and mitigation actions.
Performing other duties reasonably required to meet project and business objectives.
Desired Candidate Profile
Experience:
5 years+ of experience as a Section Manager, ideally in an MEP or construction engineering environment, including 2–3 years in a senior UAE role with knowledge of local regulations.
Knowledge & Skills:
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to manage technical requirements, team efficiencies, commercial variables, QA/QC, programme and HSE deliverables.
Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills; resilient under pressure.
Desirable:
Data-driven reporting skills (e.g., dashboards, Lean metrics).
Familiarity with BIM-enabled field management tools.
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or NVQ equivalent).
Minimum 5 years’ MEP construction experience, including 2–3 years in a senior UAE role with knowledge of local regulations.
