Your day at NTT DATA
As a Security Technical Architect at NTT DATA, you'll design robust security architectures that safeguard our systems, applications, and infrastructure. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll integrate security requirements throughout the system design and development lifecycle, ensuring our technology solutions are secure, compliant, and industry-leading.
On a day-to-day basis, you'll be viewed as a trusted technical advisor, collaborating with developers, engineers, and project managers to embed security into every project. Your expertise in secure coding practices, network security, identity and access management, DATA protection, and other security domains will be instrumental.
You'll play a pivotal role in evaluating and selecting security technologies, creating and enforcing security policies, and leading incident response activities. By setting technical standards and providing pre-sales technical support, you'll help define how our solutions meet client objectives and regulatory requirements.
Your role extends to managing client proof-of-concept initiatives and ensuring a smooth transition from proposed solutions to delivery. You'll document executive summaries, statements of work, and network diagrams, oversee pricing formats, and validate proposals, making you a key player in bringing security-focused projects to life.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive enterprise security architecture framework aligned with business strategy, technology roadmaps, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the design and implementation of end to end security solutions across network, cloud, application, infrastructure, and data security domains.
- Conduct detailed security assessments of new and existing systems, identifying vulnerabilities and defining mitigation plans.
- Create and maintain security architecture documentation, including diagrams, patterns, reference models, policies, and standards.
- Act as a subject matter expert and advisor to IT, infrastructure, development, cloud, and product teams, ensuring security is embedded into all technology initiatives.
- Evaluate, recommend, and drive the adoption of emerging security technologies and advanced security capabilities.
- Partner with cross functional stakeholders to embed security into all phases of the technology lifecycle, from design through deployment and operations.
- Provide mentorship, technical guidance, and knowledge transfer to security engineering teams and broader technical teams.
Desired Candidate Profile
CISSP certification (mandatory).
- Minimum of 8 years of cybersecurity experience, including at least 5 years in security architecture, design, or enterprise security engineering roles.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing security solutions within large, complex enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of industry security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, SABSA, and secure architecture principles.
- Deep understanding of network security, cryptography, IAM, cloud security models, and modern application security practices.
- Additional certifications such as CISM, CRISC, TOGAF, or equivalent.
- Hands on experience securing cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non technical audiences.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem solving capability, and the ability to drive decisions in complex, multi stakeholder environments.
