Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities


  • Lead the preparation of monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Manage cash flow forecasting, analyzing trends to optimize liquidity and support business operations.
  • Oversee the annual budgeting process, collaborating with department heads to align financial goals with operational strategies.
  • Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors, ensuring timely completion and resolution of findings.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance internal controls and mitigate risks.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, providing actionable insights to senior management for strategic decision-making.
  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Perform reconciliations for complex accounts, ensuring discrepancies are resolved promptly to maintain integrity of financial records.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders, translating complex financial data into clear, actionable information.
  • Stay updated with changes in tax legislation and accounting standards, proactively advising the organization on compliance matters.

Desired Candidate Profile

Required for a construction company in Abu Dhabi:

- Holds Bachelor Degree and Masters Degrees

- Holds Diploma in UAE Corporate Tax Law

- Holds Diploma in UAE VAT Law

- Minimum 10 years experience in UAE

- Fluent in English
