Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the full spectrum of accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and month-end/year-end closing processes.
- Prepare, analyze, and present accurate financial statements, reports, and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
- Coordinate and support external audits, liaising with auditors and preparing necessary documentation.
- Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, ensuring timely and accurate transaction processing.
- Develop and implement effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain financial integrity.
- Assist in budgeting, financial planning, and variance analysis to optimize resource allocation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and support business initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the accounting function.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Demonstrated experience with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff is an advantage.
