Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
- Monitor cash flow daily and forecast future requirements.
- Oversee preparation and submission of VAT returns and ensure compliance with UAE tax laws.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Support estimation and operations with financial insights, cost reports, and budget tracking.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff (Accountant, Accounts Assistant).
- Coordinate with external auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
- Establish and enforce internal financial controls and approval workflows.
- Work closely with the Collection Officer to monitor outstanding payments and DSO.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 7+ years accounting experience in construction field, at least 5 in UAE.
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent in QuickBooks in must.
- Advanced Excel and accounting software skills.
- Leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
- High integrity and attention to detail.
- UAE valid Driving license.
Authorities & Decision Rights:
- Approve routine payments within defined limits.
- Authorize financial entries and reconciliations.
- Approve invoicing and credit notes.
- Recommend cash flow strategies to management.
- Escalate financial irregularities or risks to GM.
