Job Description

• Assist the research farms director in the implementation of the strategic plan designed for research farms development. 2. Develop and implement plan for new irrigation and water delivery systems. 3. Implement the research plans required by the farm and faculty members. 4. Prepare needed research facilities for graduate students research requirements. 5. Daily follow up and management of farm labor and technical assistants. 6. Student education and training on different crop species and field practices 7. Implementation of organic crop production program at A Foah Research Farm and data collection. 8. Assist in managing greenhouses, net-houses and nurseries at al Foah Farm including research implementation and follow up. 9. Create and maintain experimental and database of farm plots history and activities. 10. Assist in preparation of farm budget required for research fields and production plots, facilities and materials. 11. Planting, growth follow up, sampling and data collection as required. 12. Develop and implement plans for farm machinery maintenance and upgrading.
  
  

Minimum Qualification

• BSc in agronomy or related agricultural fields from a recognized University.
• At least 5 years experience in similar research and farm management position.
  
  

Preferred Qualification

• MSc Degree is preferable
• Working knowledge of statistics and database management
• Supervisory experience
• Experience working as a member of a multidisciplinary team
• Knowledge of agricultural mechanization, operation, and maintenance processes.
  
  

Expected Skills

• Proven record of research implementation and contribution to scientific publications.
• Efficiency in MS Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of Arabic and English languages.
  
  

Salary Range

6000-15000
