Roles & Responsibilities
Job Summary
The Senior Asset Control Manager is responsible for establishing, leading, and overseeing the company's asset control function to ensure effective management, tracking, utilization, and governance of all operational assets, including light vehicles, heavy equipment, trailers, tools, and specialized machinery. The role ensures asset visibility, compliance, lifecycle management, and optimization while supporting operational efficiency, financial control, and regulatory requirements across all business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Asset Management & Control
Develop and implement asset control policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
Establish and maintain an accurate asset register for all company-owned and leased assets.
Monitor asset allocation, movement, utilization, and availability across projects and operational locations.
Ensure proper asset tagging, tracking, verification, and reconciliation processes.
Conduct periodic asset audits, inspections, and physical verification exercises.
Fleet & Equipment Governance
Oversee the control and monitoring of light vehicles, heavy equipment, trailers, and specialized assets.
Monitor asset utilization and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce idle time.
Ensure compliance with company standards, client requirements, and regulatory obligations.
Financial & Commercial Control
Support budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure planning related to assets.
Monitor asset lifecycle costs and recommend replacement, disposal, or acquisition strategies.
Work closely with Finance to ensure asset records, depreciation schedules, and financial reporting are accurate.
Minimize asset losses, misuse, and unnecessary expenditures.
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with company policies, audit requirements, and client standards.
Lead investigations relating to asset discrepancies, losses, or misuse.
Develop and implement corrective actions to strengthen asset governance and accountability.
Support internal and external audits.
Leadership & Reporting
Establish and lead the Asset Control Department.
Manage and develop Asset Control Officers and support personnel.
Prepare periodic management reports on asset performance, utilization, and compliance.
Provide strategic recommendations to senior management regarding asset optimization and growth.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Minimum 10–15 years of experience in asset management, fleet management, logistics, or operational control.
Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role
