Senior Barista Bun & Brew Cafe

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Barista to join our new coffee shop. The Barista will be responsible for crafting high-quality coffee and espresso drinks, handling customer orders, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our coffee bar. The candidate is energetic, customer-focused, and committed to upholding our high standards for beverage quality and service. Responsibilities and duties • Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and process payments using the point-of-sale (POS) system. • Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and specialty beverages, according to company recipes and standards. • Operate and maintain coffee equipment, such as espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment, with precision and attention to detail. • Provide knowledgeable and friendly service by answering customer questions about menu items, coffee blends, and brewing methods. • Make menu recommendations and upsell items to enhance the customer experience. • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the coffee bar, service counter, and seating areas. • Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines. • Monitor and restock inventory, including coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies. • Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer service during peak hours. • Assist with opening and closing duties, such as setup and cleaning. Qualifications and skills • Proven experience as a Barista (4-5 years) • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills. • Excellent ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. • Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and enthusiasm to learn more. • A keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality, consistent beverage preparation. • Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
