Senior BIM/CAD Technician

What You'll Be Doing:

• Develop detailed 2D drawings and 3D BIM models for infrastructure and utilities projects using AutoCAD, MicroStation, and BIM platforms.

• Coordinate with engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure accurate representation of design intent.

• Prepare cross-sections, profiles, plans, and construction-ready drawings.

• Ensure all deliverables fully comply with Dubai Municipality (DM), Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), and DEWA standards and guidelines.

• Participate in internal design reviews, providing technical input on drafting and modeling issues.

• Maintain drawing documentation, version control, and adherence to company CAD/BIM standards.

• Support clash detection processes and model coordination with other disciplines.

• Assist in developing and improving BIM/CAD workflows, templates, and quality procedures.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Minimum 10 years of proven experience as a BIM/CAD Drafter within infrastructure, utilities, or civil engineering projects.

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation.

• Solid understanding of drafting principles, detailing, and technical drawing standards.

• Experience working with large-scale utility networks (stormwater, sewer, irrigation, electrical, etc.).

• Ability to read, interpret, and translate engineering sketches and markups into accurate drawings.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality deliverables.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Working knowledge of BIM authoring tools such as Revit, Civil 3D, OpenRoads, or similar.

• Experience in clash detection using Navisworks or comparable software.

• Understanding of multi-disciplinary coordination for utilities, roads, and infrastructure.

• Familiarity with digital project delivery workflows and ISO standards.

• Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
