Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all on-site civil engineering activities, ensuring projects adhere to design specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards from inception to completion.
- Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, and inspection test plans (ITPs), guaranteeing comprehensive project planning and execution.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues, and ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors, maintaining clear and effective communication, and building strong working relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and submit detailed progress reports, documenting project milestones, challenges, and solutions, providing stakeholders with accurate updates.
- Analyze and interpret survey reports, drawings, and specifications, ensuring accurate implementation of designs and identifying any discrepancies.
- Ensure all site activities are conducted in accordance with the company's health, safety, and environmental policies, promoting a safe and sustainable work environment.
- Resolve site-specific issues and conflicts, using sound engineering judgment and problem-solving skills, to minimize delays and maintain project momentum.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university, providing a strong foundation in engineering principles.
- Holds a Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent, demonstrating commitment to ethical practice and professional standards.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in civil site engineering, showcasing a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Exhibits a deep understanding of local building codes, regulations, and construction practices, ensuring project compliance.
- Possesses strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation, contributing to project success.
- Demonstrates strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, effectively addressing challenges and finding innovative solutions.
- Exhibits leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and guide teams, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Ability to speak and write English fluently, facilitating effective communication with international teams and clients.
