Job Description
Department: Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance Services
Designation: Senior Consultant/Assistant Manager
Reports to : Manager/Associate Director
The experience requirement is Sox compliance (mandatory),experience in COSO, framework, ERM and Internal audit.
Typical Experience/Qualifications:
Must be a Chartered Accountant / Certified Internal Auditor / ACCA/Bachelors Degree in Accounting and Finance / Engineer with relevant Accounting and Finance competencies.
They need to demonstrate specialization in select sectors such as oil and gas, hospitality, real estate, financial services.
They need to demonstrate specialization in select solutions such as enterprise risk management, compliance, cooperate governance.
Prior 4 to 5 years experience in Big 4 will be preferred. Excellent communication and people managing skills are pre-requisites. Managerial experience will be an added advantage.
Core Technical & Advisory Skills and Behaviours
Manage pool of Associate Consultant and Consultants to execute engagement on timely basis.
Professionals are likely to be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, and the operational aspects of engagement management such as engagement finances, resource management, and elements of risk management.
Professionals will continue to manage, coach and act as a mentor for junior staff, playing a key role in the development of the team. They will build strong relationships with on-shore colleagues and clients, identifying areas where the organization can improve quality of, and increase the scope of work.
Ensuring the quality of deliverables is in line with the client expectations
Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate technical issues to clients whether internal or external.
Ensure you are up to date with KPMG engagement risk management processes. Should participate in risk management training and active discussion on risk issues with appropriate colleagues.
Develop performance management skills by serving as a performance manager for Associate Consultant/Consultants, actively managing the development of all appraisees.
Assist team members to understand strengths and areas for development on each assignment.
Develop interviewing skills by attending interview training and participating in recruitment activities.
Prepare budget for an engagement/project and monitor performance against budget. Ensure that over-runs are identified and recovered where possible.
Should conceptualize the proposal based on instructions provided by Associate Director/Director.
Maintain and develop broader cross functional networks so that you are able to articulate in detail to (other parties) all service offerings of your own function and demonstrate a growing depth of knowledge of the services of the wider firm.
The opportunity to become a manager and Senior Manager is dependent on the business requirements of the service line and their performance.
Ability to develop strong client relationships (with process owners and line managers) establishing deep and sustainable business opportunities.
