Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Data Privacy Consultant with deep expertise in the data privacy and protection

landscape, particularly within the banking and financial services sector. This strategic role plays a key

part in ensuring the institution’s compliance with local and international data protection regulations,

while enabling secure and ethical data usage across the organization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement enterprise-level data privacy and protection programs.
  • Conduct privacy risk assessments, privacy impact assessments (PIAs), and data protection

impact assessments (DPIAs).

  • Ensure compliance with applicable data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, PDPL, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain data privacy policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
  • Advise cross-functional teams on data handling, cross-border data transfers, and third-party

data processing risks.

  • Collaborate with legal, compliance, and IT teams to embed privacy controls across systems and

processes.

  • Monitor regulatory changes and lead readiness efforts for new privacy requirements.
  • Conduct privacy training and awareness programs across business units.


Desired Candidate Profile


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in data privacy or related roles, preferably in the banking or financial

sector.

  • Strong understanding of banking data ecosystems, including customer data, transactional data,

and digital channels.

  • Experience in handling cross-border data transfers and working with third-party processors.
  • Relevant certifications preferred: CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-

technical stakeholders.


Preferred Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven experience in regulatory compliance audits and internal investigations.
  • Familiarity with data mapping tools, privacy management platforms, and governance

frameworks.
