Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Design Leadership
Lead the development and delivery of terminal systems designs, ensuring alignment with project objectives, operational requirements, and industry standards.
Approve technical specifications, drawings, and design documentation.
2. Regulatory & Client Compliance
Ensure all designs comply with ICAO, client requirements, and local regulations.
Maintain design QA/QC processes to uphold quality and safety standards.
3. Multi-Disciplinary Coordination
Coordinate the integration of terminal systems with architectural, structural, MEP, and other facility designs.
Conduct multi-disciplinary design workshops to resolve interface conflicts and optimize system integration.
4. Design Review & Constructability
Review design packages, RFIs, and contractor queries for technical compliance and constructability.
Facilitate value engineering sessions to optimize design efficiency, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
5. Schedule & Milestone Management
Monitor design progress against project schedules and milestones.
Identify risks or delays in design delivery and implement corrective actions.
6. Support to Construction & Commissioning
Provide design guidance to construction and commissioning teams, ensuring adherence to design intent.
Support ORAT planning and operational readiness integration for terminal systems.
7. BIM & Information Management
Integrate BIM and digital information management processes into design coordination workflows.
Ensure accurate and up-to-date design information is available to project teams.
8. Technical Issue Resolution
Lead resolution of technical issues and interface conflicts across terminal systems.
Serve as the primary technical authority for assigned systems within the design team.
9. Team Leadership & Mentorship
Mentor and develop junior design engineers and coordinators.
Foster a collaborative and knowledge-sharing culture within the design team.
10. Post-Handover Support
Participate in post-handover evaluations and lessons learned exercises.
Ensure design outcomes meet operational performance requirements and client expectations.
Desired Candidate Profile
12 15+ years of experience in terminal systems design management, including BHS, APM, and MSI integration.
- Strong expertise in multi-disciplinary design coordination, PMCM processes, and design review management.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve complex technical and interface challenges.
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
