Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Lead the complete design management process from concept to construction, ensuring alignment with project objectives, budget, and schedule.
Manage multidisciplinary design teams, including architects, structural engineers, MEP consultants, and specialist subcontractors.
Review, coordinate, and approve design submissions, shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documentation.
Ensure design compliance with UAE codes, authority regulations, and project specifications.
Drive value engineering initiatives to optimize cost, buildability, and construction efficiency.
Resolve design conflicts through proactive coordination with consultants, client representatives, and internal project teams.
Oversee design-related risk management, change control, and technical issue resolution.
Support procurement by evaluating technical proposals and ensuring design compatibility with selected materials and systems.
Lead design workshops, coordination meetings, and interface discussions with stakeholders.
Ensure timely issuance of IFC drawings, design deliverables, and construction documentation.
Maintain strict control over design schedules, deliverables, and quality benchmarks.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related discipline; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum 17–25 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 8 years in main contracting.
Proven track record managing design for large‑scale, iconic, or high‑value projects in the UAE or GCC.
Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and buildability considerations.
Expertise in coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing complex design interfaces.
Excellent knowledge of local authority requirements (Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, DDA, RTA, Civil Defense, etc.).
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
Ability to work under pressure in fast‑paced, high‑profile project environments.
