Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

* Develop and interpret Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) for power distribution systems.

* Create detailed Load Schedules, accurately calculating power requirements.

* Perform Voltage Drop Calculations to ensure system efficiency and stability.

* Determine appropriate Cable Sizing based on load requirements and installation conditions.

* Calculate and specify Cable Tray Sizing to accommodate cable runs.

* Select appropriate Glands and Lex (connectors) for various cable terminations.

* Design and implement motor control circuits using Star Delta Starters, Direct-On-Line (DOL) starters, and Soft Starters.

* Design and oversee the installation of Control Panels.

* Oversee the installation of electrical systems, ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety regulations.

* Manage and supervise installation teams, providing technical guidance and ensuring efficient workflow.

* Conduct testing and commissioning of electrical installations.

* Ensure proper installation and implementation of earthing systems (STP).

* Coordinate with other project stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, and clients.

* Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of tasks.

* Prepare and maintain project documentation, including drawings, calculations, and reports.

* Ensure all work is in accordance with relevant electrical codes and safety standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

* Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.

* Proven experience in electrical system design and installation.

* Strong understanding of electrical codes and standards (e.g., IEC, NEC).

* Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP).

* Experience with motor control systems and starter configurations.

* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to manage and motivate installation teams.

* Knowledge of STP (earthing system) requirements and implementation.
