Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Main Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform regular maintenance of HV substations and related equipment.

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in substations and HV systems.

  • Conduct inspections and testing to identify issues and prevent failures.

  • Monitor performance and condition of HV substations.

  • Operate electrical systems during scheduled and unscheduled outages.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company policies.

  • Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures.

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inspections.

  • Prepare performance and maintenance reports.

  • Document incidents and emergency actions.

  • Recommend improvements to maintenance procedures.

  • Support operational performance indicators and annual operational plans.

  • Promote institutional sustainability and innovation within the team.

  • Ensure implementation of security, safety, and confidentiality policies.

  • Perform any additional tasks assigned by line management.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Experience

Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Experience in HV electrical systems, substations, and maintenance (0–4 years).

Experience in troubleshooting and repairing complex electrical systems.

Required Skills

  • Technical proficiency in HV electrical systems and components.

  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
