Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Role: Senior Engineer - Civil

Type: Permanent, Full-time

Industry: Power / Substation EPC

Location: Dubai, UAE


Responsibilities:

  • Execute and supervise all civil works for substation projects (132kV / 220kV / GIS / AIS)

  • Manage site activities including foundations, control room buildings, cable trenches, equipment foundations, and structural works

  • Ensure all construction activities are carried out as per approved drawings, method statements, and project schedules

  • Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution

  • Monitor site progress, identify risks, and proactively resolve execution challenges

  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards (DEWA / FEWA / equivalent authorities)

  • Handle site inspections, approvals, and documentation related to civil works

  • Track progress against project timelines and support timely handover of deliverables


Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering

  • Proven experience in substation civil construction (mandatory)

  • Experience working on 132kV / 220kV substation projects (AIS/GIS) preferred

  • Strong understanding of site execution, construction sequencing, and construction drawings

  • Experience with EPC contractors or utility/client-side substation projects

  • Prior exposure to utility authority standards (DEWA / FEWA / ADDC or similar)
