Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • 1. Procurement & Purchasing

    • Identify and procure materials, equipment, and services required for projects and operations.

    • Prepare and process purchase requisitions (PR) and purchase orders (PO).

    • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.

    • Monitor order status and ensure timely delivery of materials.

    2. Vendor Management

    • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers and vendors.

    • Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors.

    • Conduct supplier performance evaluations and audits.

    • Ensure vendors comply with quality and delivery standards.

    3. Cost Control & Negotiation

    • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings.

    • Perform cost comparison and analysis for procurement decisions.

    • Support budget control and ensure procurement within approved budgets.

    4. Technical Evaluation

    • Review technical specifications, drawings, and BOQs before procurement.

    • Coordinate with engineering and project teams to ensure correct material specifications.

    • Evaluate vendor technical submissions and ensure compliance with project requirements.

    5. Documentation & Reporting

    • Maintain procurement records, supplier contracts, and purchase documentation.

    • Prepare procurement reports, cost analysis, and purchase summaries.

    • Track procurement KPIs such as delivery timelines, cost savings, and supplier performance.

    6. Coordination & Compliance

    • Coordinate with engineering, project management, finance, and warehouse teams.

    • Ensure materials meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

    • Support audits and ensure compliance with company procurement policies.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field.

    • 5–8 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in construction, manufacturing, or engineering industries.

    • Knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and contract negotiation.

    • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / etc.) and MS Excel.
