Senior Engineer - Projects EMIRATES GLOBAL ALUMINIUM (EGA)

To lead and support the completion of projects in line with KPIs and objectives.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Actively participates in monitoring progress against the project schedule and budget.

• Raises project scheduling and budget concerns with first line manager any manages corrective actions. Lead the coordination between Operation and the consultants

• Coordinates with Operations to complete the scope aspects of the project by actively participates in formulating and evaluating solutions to ensure alignment.

• Manages small to medium size projects from inception to handover.

• Reviews and advises on fabrication, shop drawings and material submittals by contractors.

• Participates in design review meetings with EPCM/EPC/consultants and contributes to design optimization and the Value Engineering Program.

• Actively participates in checking the readiness of project drawings, operating and maintenance manuals and other final documents at the project completion stage.

• Supports the project team supervising the construction activities to ensure the project execution is in line with technical specifications.

• Supports POV activities to ensure project is smoothly handed over to Operations on schedule.

• Drives continuous improvement of initiatives to ensure project quality is of a best practice standard.

AUTHORITY/ DECISION MAKING:

• Thinking within established procedures, standards and precedents.

• Work is subject to managerial control and review of results and is typically covered by practices and procedures which have clear precedents and/or operational guidelines
