To manage or steward relevant sub family project teams in data collection, collation and critical interpretation of scientific or technical datasets, along with documentation of the findings in a format appropriate to the end users

Plan assigned project work and allocate work to ensure timely delivery and effective utilisation of resources
Work collaboratively with other sectors/disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design or solution
Monitor the performance of team members and subcontractors, identifying and ensuring the resolution of any issues
Review and quality-assure project outputs (e.g. documentation, reports, specifications) to ensure that they meet or exceed client expectations and Arcadis requirements and comply with national standards and codes of practice
Develop effective working relationships with the Project Director or Manager and with the client and ensure effective communication of progress and changes and the resolution of issues
Coach, guide and provide technical advice to junior team members, to support them in their delivery on the project and in their professional development
Develop and maintain a good understanding of the services delivered by Arcadis, of the client s business and the industry sector to facilitate personal networking and to consolidate personal and company credibility in the industry
Health and Safety: robust understanding of key H&S principles, behaviour-based safety, input to the H&S reporting system and promotion of SHE proactively
Financial Accountability: Timely completion of timecards Sales Target: Contribution to sales from identification of sell-on opportunities, bid support etc.
Project Accountability: Leads and delivers complex workstreams and/or small projects. Achieves project objectives and stretch objectives as defined for each project via project appraisals
Management/Supervisor Responsibilities: Dependent on functional role Independent working: Shows initiative within the context of level of responsibility
Utilization: Role and team specific
7-15 years of experience in the field of environmental management, ideally with some experience of on-site contractual environmental enforcement.
B.Sc. in Environmental Sciences or related discipline, and ideally a M.Sc.
CEnv or MIEMA is desirable
Strong leadership & management skills
Good people management and mentoring skills
Strong technical environmental skills across terrestrial, marine, and coastal environments
Proven record of successfully implementing environmental management on major construction projects
Experience of ISO 14001 implementation
Experience of mega-projects compliance program management
Lead auditor qualifications and experience
Experience in managing PMC activities
Experience in managing EIA programs
Experience in sustainability certification systems
Candidates must be in Dubai due to urgency of this role.
