Job Description – Senior Estimation Engineer

Position: Senior Estimation Engineer
Experience: 10–15 Years
Location: UAE
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimation Engineer with 10–15 years of expertise in cost estimation, tendering, budgeting, and commercial analysis for construction and engineering projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, analyzing tender documents, coordinating with internal departments, and ensuring competitive and profitable bid submissions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and client requirements.

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction, infrastructure, industrial, EPC, or MEP projects.

  • Perform quantity take-offs and develop comprehensive cost breakdowns.

  • Analyze labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead costs.

  • Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.

  • Prepare technical and commercial bid proposals in accordance with tender requirements.

  • Conduct value engineering and cost optimization studies to improve project competitiveness.

  • Identify project risks and incorporate appropriate contingencies into estimates.

  • Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client discussions.

  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, planning, and commercial teams during bid preparation.

  • Prepare tender clarifications and respond to client inquiries.

  • Maintain and update historical cost databases and estimation benchmarks.

  • Support contract negotiations and project handover activities after award.

  • Review variation orders and provide cost impact assessments.

  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, client requirements, and industry standards.


Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.

  • 10–15 years of experience in estimation and tendering.

  • Proven experience in large-scale construction, infrastructure, industrial, EPC, or MEP projects.

  • Strong understanding of project costing, quantity surveying, and commercial principles.

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • UAE/GCC project experience.

  • Professional certifications such as PMP, MRICS, AACE, or equivalent.

  • Familiarity with FIDIC contract conditions.

  • Experience in high-value and complex project tenders.
