Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
In This Role, You Will
- Independently manage, negotiate, and price assigned insurance covers for both UAE and outstations, including motor, workmen s compensation, and industrial injury insurance.
- Prepare quotation specifications and tailor policy wordings to ensure optimal and cost-effective coverage aligned with business needs.
- Gather and analyse underwriting, risk engineering, and insurance data to assess exposures and determine appropriate coverage levels, securing terms independently in coordination with Manager Insurance.
- Provide technical input on risk management, participate in site visits, evaluate risk matrices, and support implementation of recommendations to improve risk quality and negotiate cost-effective covers.
- Validate premium calculations, compile statistical reports, and highlight trends or variances for timely corrective action and programme optimisation.
- Prepare and review non-standard policy wordings, quotations, tenders, and endorsements, raising discrepancies and ensuring contract accuracy and compliance.
- Support Manager Insurance on high-value or complex covers by analysing data, evaluating alternatives, and recommending strategies for negotiation.
- Ensure timely issuance and reconciliation of policies, endorsements, and certificates, maintain accurate databases, and initiate renewal planning three months before expiry.
Desired Candidate Profile
Hold a related Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent).
5+ years working within the Insurance industry.
Licentiate or Associate of Insurance Institute preferred.
Demonstrate strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication, with well-developed drafting ability.
Comprehensive knowledge of insurance industry standards and business practices.
Work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
