Roles & Responsibilities

Desired Candidate Profile

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute and manage hedging transactions for physical gold and other precious metals.
• Monitor and analyze daily market price movements, identifying opportunities and mitigating risks.
• Conduct trading operations and maintain strategic relationships with key market participants in Hong Kong, Singapore, India, and the UAE.
• Utilize COMEX and other trading platforms for effective price discovery and risk management.
• Coordinate with logistics and operations teams to ensure efficient supply chain management for physical metal delivery.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, AML/KYC standards, and internal governance policies.
• Work closely with finance, logistics, and compliance departments to streamline trade execution and reporting.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience in gold or precious metals trading, including physical metal and paper contracts.
• Strong understanding of hedging mechanisms, futures, and options (COMEX, LME, etc.).
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and risk assessment skills.
• Deep understanding of regional trading practices in Hong Kong, Singapore, India, and the UAE.
• Established network and knowledge of key market players in the UAE local gold market.
• Knowledge of supply chain logistics and shipment coordination for precious metals.
• Understanding of compliance and regulatory frameworks, including import/export procedures, KYC, and AML.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced market environment.

Preferred Background:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in gold or commodities trading.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM, or Commodity Trading Licenses) are a plus.
