Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Diagnose complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on heavy equipment, using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to pinpoint root causes.
- Perform in-depth overhauls and rebuilds of engines, transmissions, and other critical components, ensuring precision and adherence to manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and services, proactively identifying and addressing potential problems to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Lead and mentor junior mechanics, providing technical guidance, training, and support to foster their professional development.
Desired Candidate Profile
Possesses a High School Diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in heavy equipment mechanics is preferred.
Holds a minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance, with a focus on a variety of equipment types.
Demonstrates proficiency in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Holds relevant certifications, such as those from the Equipment & Engine Training Council (EETC) or manufacturer-specific certifications.
