Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The Senior Joinery Site Foreman directly supervises on-site joinery installation teams and tradespeople, ensuring all custom joinery and millwork items are installed precisely to approved drawings, finish specifications, and quality standards. This hands-on senior role is the primary point of contact between the site workforce and the Project Engineer.
Key Responsibilities
Directly supervise joinery installation gangs including carpenters, joiners, and general labourers across all project areas.
Interpret and implement approved joinery shop drawings, elevation plans, and finish schedules for all joinery installations.
Plan and allocate daily work tasks; manage workforce deployment and material flow to maximise site productivity.
Ensure precision installation of all joinery items: wall panels, ceilings, cabinetry, wardrobes, counters, doors, and decorative features.
Inspect installed joinery for dimensional accuracy, level, plumb, surface finish quality, and hardware function before presenting for engineer inspection.
Coordinate with MEP trades on site to ensure correct clearances and service cut-outs are maintained within joinery installations.
Manage delivery of joinery items from workshop to site; verify items against delivery notes and shop drawings.
Enforce HSE compliance across all installation activities including safe use of power tools, working-at-height, and PPE.
Lead snagging and defect rectification activities; ensure all punch list items are resolved to client satisfaction.
Report daily labour counts, work completed, and material consumption to the Project Engineer.

Experience - 5+ years in UAE/GCC joinery installation & site supervision
Desired Candidate Profile
Trade qualification or Diploma in Carpentry, Joinery, or Interior Finishing.
5–10 years of UAE/GCC joinery installation experience with at least 3 years in a Foreman or supervisory role.
Deep practical knowledge of joinery installation techniques, finishing methods, and hardware fitting.
Ability to read and interpret joinery shop drawings, elevation plans, and section details.
Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead diverse, multinational carpentry teams.
Good knowledge of UAE construction HSE requirements for site-based joinery works.
