Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
To lead and manage the development and implementation of an MRO production and workshops planning capability including AMOS driven policies, processes, and procedures that incorporates digitalized base maintenance and support workshop planning, coordination, and control of aircraft maintenance production activities to ensure timely, efficient, and regulatory-compliant maintenance operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leads and manages the development of relevant policy, process and procedure capturing all intended planning related MRO and fully integrated workshop activities, including support for the approval process with regulatory authorities.
- Oversees the AMOS production planning and control project throughout the creation of AMOS electronic work instructions and the linked digital credentials of scheduled maintenance tasks and supports the data integration and interfacing with other business stakeholders (for example materials, stores, finance).
- Builds and maintains a capable functionality that enables managing the end-to-end maintenance planning and control processes for the airline s base maintenance planned activities in alignment with flight schedules, operational and organizational priorities delivering a strategically aligned base maintenance plan (BMP).
- Ensures suitable performance monitoring tools are in place for maintenance status that identify and optimize production plans to respond to operational changes, AOG (Aircraft on Ground) events, unforeseen circumstances or resource constraints.
- Analyzes performance data (e.g., TAT, schedule adherence, resource utilization) and implement corrective actions to improve planning accuracy and maintenance efficiency.
- Ensures all designed policy, functions and workflows adopt industry leading levels of safety and compliance with aviation authority regulations and company requirements.
- Supports audits and ensures readiness for regulatory inspections by maintaining complete and accurate records of planning and control activities performed.
- Drives continuous improvement initiatives and digital adoption within production planning, leveraging AMOS to be a paperless system with industry leading levels of efficiency, productivity and minimal aircraft downtime by contributing to the development and implementation of additional digital tools and systems for materials and tooling control.
- Develops and leads a system that will identify, quantify, and manage spare capacity within the MRO schedule, with potential to enable the effective sale of excess maintenance capacity or services to third-party customers.
- Supports the collaboration and business development activities aimed at enhancing the scope of capabilities available to Flydubai in the AMC including the promotion of potential partnerships and joint ventures in line with maximizing revenue opportunities and/or cost savings without impacting core airline maintenance performance.
- Leads the creation of a new team by taking a key role in developing the team structure, skill set and responsibilities and working closely with HR and recruitment teams to attract, onboard, and develop qualified personnel.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's Degree (3+ years)
Degree in aviation maintenance related discipline or degree in equivalent industry relevant subject or equivalent aviation endorsed education program that covers maintenance or operations
Fluent in English
Demonstrable experience leading large scale aviation maintenance/production planning projects that includes AMOS implementation._
Hands-on experience implementing and overseeing the latest AMOS planning modules to achieve a paperless maintenance environment.
Experience in managing and delivering production planning functions in complex aviation environments that include all levels of base maintenance checks and workshops capability.
AMOS
Years with qualifications: 10 - 12 years
Aircraft maintenance engineer license is an advantage
