Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and lead all mechanical maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Supervise and guide the maintenance team to complete tasks efficiently, safely, and on schedule.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for machinery, equipment, and facilities.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and company policies in all maintenance operations.
  • Manage maintenance budgets and control costs while ensuring optimal use of resources.
  • Conduct routine inspections and prepare daily maintenance checklists and reports.
  • Analyze breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Oversee spares planning and maintain sufficient inventory of critical spare parts.
  • Collaborate with production and other departments to align maintenance schedules with operational requirements.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement through kaizen initiatives and process optimization.

Desired Candidate Profile

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree (B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within the cement industry.
  • Hands-on experience with Kiln, Coal Mill, and Cement Mill (Ball Mill) maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, plant equipment, and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in maintenance data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Commitment to safety and continuous improvement practices.
