Role & responsibilities

• Should understand, read and Remember Basic English words.
• Installs, Removes, Inspects and Repairs mechanical spare parts like bearings, seals on typical Mechanical equipment
• Perform major overhaul of equipments with or without external contractors and vendors
• Devise preventative measures to avoid machine downtime
• Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removed parts and reinstall as necessary
• Oil and lubricate moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance
• Record and report damaged, worn or broken parts.
• Should be able to attend breakdowns depending upon the company Requirements.
• Should maintain the records of Spares availability and keep informed to Supervisor about the spare consumption.
• Should maintain the store in the organized manner.
• Should support or advise the technician to complete the assigned task in time and reduce the machine downtime.
• Should look after the safety of the individual and the associated subordinate in the job.
• Have experience in the maintenance of Valves, Pneumatic operated Cylinders, Gear box, Compressor, blowers and Fans.
• Have knowledge in alignment, displacement and installation of new/existing machines or equipment.
• Have working experience in hot, high temperature area, dusty environment and working in height area.
• Must be physically strong and must have the ability to lift or shift heavy items from store to work area or vice versa.
• Maintain the hand tools, portable machine and power tools in good and healthy condition.
• Must maintain the work ethics with all the colleagues and should not indulge in quarrel in the factory premises all the time.
