Senior Mechanical Project Engineer – Job Description (UAE)

Reporting To: Project Manager

Job Summary:
The Senior Mechanical Project Engineer is responsible for leading the mechanical scope of large-scale engineering projects from design through site execution and final handover. This role ensures all mechanical systems (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection) meet technical specifications, budget requirements, and UAE regulatory standards. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Leadership: Manage and oversee all mechanical project phases, including design review, procurement support, and site installation.

• Technical Compliance: Ensure all mechanical works comply with UAE Building Codes, Civil Defense regulations, and client-specific standards (e.g., E&, DU, Khazna).

• Design & Engineering: Conduct and validate mechanical system designs, perform heat load calculations, CFD analysis , and review shop drawings.

• Site Supervision: Monitor site progress, conduct quality inspections, and lead the testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical equipment.

• Team Coordination: Act as the primary technical point of contact between design team, electrical engineers, and subcontractors.

• Documentation: Review and approve technical submittals, RFIs, and "As-Built" drawings.

• Mentorship: Provide guidance and technical leadership to junior engineers and site inspectors.
