Senior Network Engineer – Datacenter, Azure, AWS, OCI Covenant Tel

1. Datacenter & Core Networking:

• Design and implement advanced routing protocols (OSPF, BGP)

• Manage MPLS, L3VPN, EVPN/VXLAN fabrics

• Configure high-availability architectures (LACP, MLAG, vPC)

• Ensure Layer 2 security (DHCP Snooping, DAI, IP Source Guard)

  
  

2. Network Security & Firewalls:

• Configure and manage Next-Gen Firewalls (NGFW)

• Implement NAT, IPS, URL filtering, SSL inspection

• Design high-availability firewall clusters

• Work with micro-segmentation solutions (e.g., Cisco ACI)

3. Cloud Networking (Azure, AWS, OCI):

• Design and deploy VPC/VNet/VCN architectures

• Configure hybrid connectivity (VPN, ExpressRoute, Direct Connect, FastConnect)

• Implement load balancers, NSGs, route tables, and cloud firewalls

• Manage multi-cloud routing and interconnectivity

4. WAN & SD-WAN

• Implement WAN routing and QoS policies

• Deploy and manage SD-WAN solutions

• Optimize traffic using SLA-based routing and application awareness

5. Automation & DevOps

• Develop automation using

• Ansible (configuration management)

• Terraform (cloud IaC)

• Python (network scripting & validation)

6. Operations & Troubleshooting

• Monitor networks using SNMP, NetFlow, telemetry tools

• Perform deep troubleshooting using Wireshark, tcpdump

• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for critical incidents

• Maintain performance KPIs (latency, packet loss, utilization)

  
  

7. Migration & Change Management

• Plan and execute network migrations and cutovers

• Develop Method of Procedures (MoP) and rollback strategies

• Validate post-implementation performance and stability

  
  

8. Documentation & Governance

• Maintain LLDs, as-built documentation, and diagrams

• Create SOPs and DR/HA runbooks

• Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS

• Follow ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management)
