Senior Officer- Customer Trade Services
Job Description
Purpose and Scope
Responsible for effective production, execution and operational processing of CTS products in an operationally compliant, timely and efficient manner. Support and work with a team of officers and ensure
that transactions are processed efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
1. Authorizes and handles CTS related transactions, prioritizes tasks, monitors work progress and ensures standards and deadlines are met.
2. Assists in developing and maintaining a detailed operational and technical understanding of various Trade products, processes and systems. Ensures on job training is provided to the new officers.
3. Refers and escalates the issues to the next level for any discrepancies or unusual items.
4. Ensures high customer service standards are maintained as per Service Level Agreements. Ensure error free transactions.
5. Follows up on overdue and expired transactions.
6. Ensures transactions comply with internal procedures and Central Bank of Kuwait guidelines.
7. Ensures and follows up on outstandings in Nostro and Suspense accounts.
8. Assists in the User Acceptance testing of system modifications.

9. Ensures control plans are regularly updated.
10. Generates and escalates periodic and requested reports ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
11. Maintains updated knowledge of rules, regulations and standards in the field and related matters of interest to the department.
12. Performs other duties in line with scope of work and as assigned by the direct manager.

Educational Degree
Bachelor of Business Administration or Bachelor of Science preferably in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
Training/Professional Certifications
Certified Documentary Credit Specialist (CDCS), Certified Specialists in Demand Guarantees (CSDG), Certificate in International Trade and Finance (CITF): Preferable.
Computer Skills
Microsoft Office and Banking operating system.
Language Skills
English , Arabic (Preferable) , Other Languages

Sound knowledge of domestic and international trade products of UCP rules including and not limited to (URC, URR, ISP and URDG) and trade products. Expertise in dealing with Foreign Trade related matters i.e. Export/Import, Remittance, Guarantee etc. with good understanding of general banking products and services as well as having sound knowledge in using bank operating systems.
