Roles & Responsibilities

The Senior Pipeline Designer is responsible for developing detailed design drawings and 3D models for offshore pipeline systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, international standards, and ADNOC engineering guidelines.

Expected:

  • Diploma or Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Pipeline Engineering or Drafting / Design Technology
  • 10 15 years of experience in pipeline design
  • Minimum 5+ years in offshore oil & gas projects
  • Prior experience on ADNOC or Middle East offshore projects is highly preferred
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Offshore pipeline routing and layout
    • Subsea / topside interface design
  • Proficiency in:
    • AutoCAD
    • AVEVA E3D / PDMS
    • Navisworks
  • Knowledge of:
    • Pipeline stress considerations
    • Corrosion protection and coating systems
    • Offshore installation methods (S-lay, J-lay)

  • Prepare detailed pipeline design drawings including:
    • General Arrangement (GA) drawings
    • Isometrics
    • Routing layouts
    • Alignment sheets
  • Develop and review 3D models using tools such as:
    • AutoCAD
    • PDMS / AVEVA E3D
  • Coordinate with:
    • Pipeline engineers
    • Structural and mechanical teams
    • Offshore installation teams
  • Ensure compliance with:
    • ADNOC standards
    • International codes (e.g., American Society of Mechanical Engineers standards, American Petroleum Institutecodes)
  • Perform clash detection and design optimization within 3D models
  • Support material take-offs (MTOs) and bill of materials preparation
  • Review vendor drawings and contractor submissions
  • Assist in site surveys and offshore design verification when required
  • Provide technical guidance to junior designers
