Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive fit-out project plans that align with client expectations and project timelines, ensuring all phases are adequately scheduled.
  • Analyze project specifications and technical documents to identify key milestones and resource requirements, facilitating effective project execution.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, designers, and contractors to optimize project workflows and address any scheduling conflicts that arise.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, using scheduling software to track timelines and identify potential delays in real-time.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions and ensure timely project delivery.
  • Lead project meetings with stakeholders to communicate updates, gather feedback, and refine planning strategies as needed.
  • Utilize advanced planning tools and methodologies to enhance efficiency and productivity in fit-out projects.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards throughout the planning and execution phases of fit-out projects.
  • Prepare and present detailed progress reports and forecasts to senior management and clients, highlighting key achievements and upcoming challenges.
  • Mentor junior planning engineers by sharing best practices and providing guidance on complex planning scenarios.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, ensuring a strong technical foundation.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience in fit-out project planning, demonstrating a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or Prince2, showcasing a commitment to best practices in project management.
  • Experience in large-scale commercial fit-out projects, indicating familiarity with industry standards and client expectations.
  • Fluency in English, with additional language skills preferred to facilitate communication in diverse project environments.
  • Proficiency in project scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project, essential for effective project management.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess project data and make informed decisions that drive project success.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities to address challenges swiftly and maintain project momentum.
  • Detail-oriented mindset, ensuring accuracy in planning and resource allocation throughout the project lifecycle.
